Join us for the third annual Bourbon & Bluegrass at Middleton Place, the Foundation’s signature fall fundraiser, celebrating the landscapes, foodways, and traditions of the Lowcountry.

As the sun sets over Middleton Place, gather beneath the historic oaks for an unforgettable evening where exceptional food, premium bourbon, live bluegrass, and a shared commitment to preservation come together.

Enjoy a traditional open-fire oyster roast with Chef Bill Green of Gullah Grub, chef-inspired small plate stations celebrating the food traditions of the Lowcountry, handcrafted cocktails, premium bourbon tastings, and a full open bar. Then hit the dance floor as the Marshgrass Mamas bring their lively, high-energy bluegrass sound to the stage.

This year’s culinary experience welcomes Michael W. Twitty, award-winning author, acclaimed culinary historian, and one of the nation’s leading voices on African American foodways. His work explores the connections among food, history, ancestry, and identity, inviting a deeper understanding of the people, cultures, and traditions that shaped the Lowcountry.

Also returning is fifth-generation Lowcountry farmer and chef Marvin Ross of Peculiar Pig Farm, bringing a culinary experience rooted in the relationship between the land and the food it produces.
