"Dracula: Ballet with a Bite" at the Koger Center for the Arts

South Carolina Ballet presents Dracula: Ballet with a Bite at Koger Center for the Arts, a thrilling Halloween tradition that blends classical ballet with gothic drama, suspense, and theatrical spectacle.

Since its premiere in 1991, this signature production has captivated audiences with haunting choreography, striking visuals, and an original rock/jazz score by Thomas E. Semanski. Filled with unforgettable characters and darkly atmospheric storytelling, Dracula: Ballet with a Bite showcases South Carolina Ballet’s bold, contemporary approach while remaining one of the company’s most beloved productions.

Guests attending the Friday performance can enhance their evening with Gala with a Bite, a pre- and post-show celebration featuring hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, a silent auction, and access to Dracula’s Castle, with proceeds supporting the company’s educational outreach programs. Those attending Saturday’s performance are invited to join a Halloween costume contest before the show, with prizes awarded during intermission for standout costumes. Recommended for mature audiences (PG-13).
