"Nature at Night" at Sesquicentennial State Park

Discover what happens in the forest after dark during Nature at Night at Sesquicentennial State Park. This family-friendly night hike offers opportunities to look for animal eye shine, listen for nocturnal calls and sounds, and explore some of the adaptations nighttime creatures use to survive.

The program is designed for ages 5 and older, with adults required to accompany children ages 15 and under. The moderately difficult hike includes uneven terrain and low visibility, so comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and a flashlight are recommended.

Participants meet at the Park Office. Pre-registration is required, with registration closing one day before the program. Space is limited. Admission is $5 per participant, not including park admission.
