"SCMTA Conference Artist Concert: Andrew Cooperstock" at the Newberry Opera House

Experience an evening of exceptional classical music as the South Carolina Music Teachers Association presents internationally acclaimed pianist Andrew Cooperstock in the annual SCMTA Conference Artist Concert on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at the Newberry Opera House.

A Steinway Artist and member of the Steinway Piano Music Teachers Hall of Fame, Cooperstock has performed on six continents and appeared at renowned venues including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. With South Carolina roots and an international career as a performer, educator, and chamber musician, he is celebrated for his technical brilliance, expressive artistry, and dedication to advancing classical music.

Currently a professor at the University of Colorado Boulder, Cooperstock has earned acclaim for his solo performances and collaborations, including his award-winning work with the chamber ensemble Opus Two. His repertoire spans beloved classical masterpieces and contemporary works by leading American composers, offering audiences a captivating and memorable concert experience.
